Experience with more than 300 large group employers has taught us that a screening event – when properly executed – can serve as the catalyst for change in the organizational health culture and provide a foundation upon which to build more intensive programs and services. Conversely, a negative experience – at the client or participant level – can hinder the acceptance of further programs and services and limit participation.
HWI deploys its onsite Wellness Clinic service to each employee population as a means to:
Engage the population
Build health risk awareness among participants
Provide personalized service and consultation
Gather aggregate assessment data to help further define the programming needs of the target population
On the day of the Wellness Clinic, participants will have several vital health indicators checked with the following biometric screenings, and receive a personalized report of their results, complete with the latest clinical guidelines and some basic action steps. To ensure convenience for participants and thereby maximize involvement, all blood tests are calibrated to allow for non-fasting, finger-stick analysis.
After the administration of screenings, HWI’s staff members provide one-on-one consultations to ensure each participant’s full understanding of his or her results at the Wellness Clinic; especially for individuals identified as high-risk. Each participant also receives a printed report of their results at the Wellness Clinic, complete with the latest clinical guidelines and some basic action steps.
