Michael H. Samuelson, President and CEO of HWI, will present his talk, The Changing Face of Healthcare - Same Players...Merging Roles as part of the Iowa State Association of Counties Fall School of Instruction.
Given an annual bite of $2.3 trillion in 2008 and trend data which project an annual spend of $4.3 trillion by 2012, the U.S. healthcare treatment model is economically unsustainable. The need to address both the attitude of deferred responsibility and the socio-economic conditions that foster unhealthy lifestyle choices is fundamental to meaningful reform. In his presentation Michael will discuss:
