We are looking for energetic, creative fitness instructors to teach in a variety of worksite settings. Responsible for leading group exercise classes and providing minimal administrative duties associated with onsite registration and evaluation.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for supporting the overall goal of Health & Wellness Institute (HWI) and BCBSRI by improving the health of its members and being their partner in health and wellness. This will be accomplished by designing, planning, promoting, implementing, and evaluating worksite and community health promotion activities to improve overall health.

REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES:

Provide direct health promotion program delivery to client organizations using internally developed programming as well as externally purchased programs. The following formats may be used: health screenings, lectures, seminars, and one-on-one consultations. Present on a variety of topics, such as nutrition, weight management, stress management, fitness, and smoking cessation, to a wide range of ages and personality types. Maintain consistently positive communication with clientele to build relationships, optimize customer satisfaction, and enhance programming.

Design, develop, participate in, and oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of programs that support claims reduction, improve quality of life, and reduce risk for individuals, worksites, and communities. Collaborate with other HWI staff to ensure that all programs address preventive health, healthy lifestyle, and community, worksite, and provider level issues.

Ensure that recommended program participation levels and desired outcomes/behavior changes are achieved through best-in-class program promotion, implementation, and evaluation. Program participation is reported to the Team Leader and Manager of Health Education after each program is delivered.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Knowledge of: Nutrition, weight management, stress management, fitness, and smoking cessation. Working knowledge of health promotion/education theory and its application.

Technical Skills: Strong persuasive skills required to negotiate, develop, influence, motivate, and change the behavior of others. Associate Database Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for designing production databases for small to mid-sized projects in MS Access or MS SQL Server. Gathers database and reporting technical requirements from non-technical business owners. Creates report templates in Crystal Reports. Assists in planning and implementing data acquisition activities via web, paper, and other media.

REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES:

Participates in planning meetings to understand technical and logistical requirements for new and existing products. Creates databases and related assets (queries, forms, reports) to meet business needs. Trains internal users on appropriate use of systems and interpreting data and reports. Municipal Wellness Coordinator
Job Type: Full-Time

JOB SUMMARY:

Serves as the single point-of-contact to municipal clients on behalf of Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) and assists clients in establishing and targeting their health management goals. In pursuit of delivering quality health management services to the workplace via multiple channels, is responsible for working with BCBSRI departments to assess client needs, communication channels and provide customized programs.

REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES:

Participates as a health management consultant in the retention business sales process providing client relationship management expertise and execution of the health management methodology for municipal accounts.

Participates with senior management of the municipal organization to perform environmental audits and other data gathering instruments as a precursor to developing strategic health and wellness organizational goals and recommending initiatives to achieve these goals.

Participates in targeted cost analysis, data collection, program design, tactical execution, promotional outreach, client interaction, problem solving, reporting, and deadline management for program delivery at the worksites. This is accomplished through strategic planning and the development of strong relationships with client organizations. Assist these organizations as a strategic consultant, meet their organizational objectives using sound data collection and analysis, and define concrete solutions supporting their health management strategy and budget.

Ensure that programs are delivered efficiently and with high quality to individuals and client organizations. Work with the Research and Evaluation team to provide feedback and support for the evaluation processes within all programming.

Implement programs by conducting lectures, seminars, and serving as a point of contact for health management questions. Work with a multi-disciplinary Health Management Team to create and present business cases for new and renewing programs.

Perform needs assessments and on-going analysis of accounts to identify requirements for client's health management strategy, new programs, enhancements to existing programs, and access to internal and external resources available.

Manager, Strategic Operations

JOB SUMMARY:

Manage all operational functions of the Health & Wellness Institute (HWI), including dotted line responsibility for overseeing the operational functions of regional offices throughout the U.S. and for ensuring that directives are executed in accordance with HWI's corporate plan.

REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES:

Responsible for the creation and monitoring of all HWI corporate policies and procedures and management of operational budgets for local office and oversight for regional office budgets.

Responsible for the preparation and timely delivery of corporate dashboard reports and all other operational reporting for HWI executive team and parent company. Monitor and report to HWI senior management on all HWI key performance metrics.

Responsible for recruiting and on-boarding efforts for all local and regional staff. Act as HWI's contact with Human Resources or recruiting vendor to fill open positions in local and regional offices.

Monitor, track, and report all staff compliance activities and ensure that HWI is in compliance with all corporate policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and human resource and performance management requirements. Serve as liaison to HWI's legal counsel for all legal and policy matters.

Act as HWI's contact with the Purchasing Department to review, obtain, record, and track all purchase orders. Responsible for negotiating contracts and maintaining records and receipts with office supply vendors.

Help create and foster strategic partnerships and vendor relationships to extend HWI's reach beyond the capabilities of its staff; ensure that all interaction systems (billing, tracking, security, etc.) are efficient and scalable. Ensure that HWI's business operations are kept within budgetary guidelines and that revenue-generating solutions return a profit from operations.

Assist with creating, maintaining, and enhancing the infrastructure necessary to deliver comprehensive, integrated health and wellness solutions for individuals and communities (geographic and worksite), maximizing technological efficiency and scalability without sacrificing the intimacy necessary to develop and sustain meaningful relationships with clients and customers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Knowledge of: Operations management; Human Resource management; business processes; analytical support; vendor contracting; financial planning, budgeting, and monitoring; project management; working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of database, Internet, and systems architecture; HIPAA regulations and policies.

Senior Consultant
Job Type: Full-Time

JOB SUMMARY:

The Health & Wellness Institute's (HWI) Senior Consultant is responsible for strategy, analysis, design, and delivery of custom health and wellness solutions for strategic, large-scale client engagements, such as health plans or national clients. The consultant performs a vast range of duties to support strategic engagements from facilitation of executive sessions, to build out of marketing and sales strategy, to support of wellness offerings, to overall project management of the wellness strategy rollout on behalf of key clients. The consultant may work either as a sole practitioner to a health plan or in a leadership role leading a team of HWI professionals in delivering services.

REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES:

Act as a strategic advisor by working closely with the executive team of key clients to identify the current situation, help define a wellness strategy, and build out plans for designing and implementing that strategy.

Facilitate strategic meetings with the executive team and assist the team in exploring new ideas, incorporating best practices from other wellness experiences, and reaching consensus for moving the wellness strategy forward.

Lead in the preparation and initiation of engagements. Obtain an understanding of client's business processes (modifying and developing new processes required to support adoption and application of health management and/or wellness practices). Exercise creativity and resourcefulness in meeting client needs (may include prototypes and proof of concepts). Execute assigned projects within the constraints of time, scope, and budget for the project.

As a sole practitioner, responsible for reporting project status to client during engagements (accomplishments, plans, and risk mitigation). As the lead of a team, oversee project managers and other associates in execution of deliverables and monitor client relationship to ensure satisfaction.

Support the relationship with key industry partners through finding mutually beneficial opportunities which could involve joint proposals, presentations, research, and/or other business development opportunities.

Assist and make recommendations for client account planning; prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and project approaches, estimation, and work breakdown structure for engagement opportunities.

Assist in recruitment, which includes drawing upon relationships and experience to recommend qualified candidates, interviewing consulting staff candidates, and preparing hiring recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or marketing. Minimum of five to seven years of experience required in consulting, marketing, and management (within the health promotion field a plus) targeted at diverse populations; program development including defining clear goals/objectives, developing resource requirements and resource management, team leadership, facilitation, and meeting management. Supervisory experience for account management. Demonstrated new business development ability. Ability to travel, on average, 60% of the time outside of Rhode Island.

New Business Development Associate

JOB SUMMARY:

Primarily responsible for overseeing the preparation and timely delivery of all new business proposals and Requests for Proposal (RFP) responses on behalf of Health & Wellness Institute (HWI). Responsible for closing new business sales and achieving sales targets for HWI through prospecting and following up on leads generated from conferences where HWI staff are presenting, trade shows, and other promotional opportunities. Negotiate contract terms with clients. Provide input and support for sales and client relationship activities or procedures for HWI. Manage day-to-day sales and account retention relationships with designated accounts. Responsible for all follow up sales, renewal and retention activities, and ensuring that proposals and proposal support is delivered in a timely, high-quality manner to clients. Serve as the project manager for all new business account implementations. Track and monitor all prospecting and sales activities.

REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES:

Responsible for closing new business sales and achieving established sales and retention targets. Attend key conferences, trade shows, and other promotional events on behalf of HWI and generate and follow up with all new business leads identified at those conferences to develop proposal opportunities for HWI.

Attend key marketing and business development meetings in partnership with HWI's senior management team and manage efforts from initiation of meeting to submission of proposal and contract negotiations.

Serve as primary project manager for all new business development efforts, including the preparation and delivery of new business proposals and RFP responses and contract negotiations. Maintain primary responsibility for quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all new business proposals and RFPs prepared by HWI and delivered to clients.

Maintain client relationships and conduct sales presentations.

Oversee the timely and accurate delivery of HWI products and services to clients. Respond to all requests in a highly customer-focused fashion and within a client-oriented timeframe, identifying and facilitating the resolution of key relationship issues, addressing operational and contractual issues through HWI senior management, and ensuring a focus on customer service through all dealings.

Develop and track client contract schedules and activities. Monitor all sales responses to RFPs. Assist with the creation, development, and analysis of timely reports on competitive activity and potential need for reaction.

Per Diem - Lab Screening Services

JOB SUMMARY:

Support the overall goal of The Health & Wellness Institute (HWI) to improve the health of its clients and to be their partner in health and wellness. This will be accomplished by administering finger stick biometric screenings at worksite wellness programs and community health screening activities, as they relate to HWI's Internal Lab Screening Services.

REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES:

Perform finger stick biometric screenings at worksite wellness and community events throughout Rhode Island.

Comply with all policies and procedures related to the Internal Lab Screening Services scheduling protocols for onsite events, both locally and nationally. This includes making sound decisions in a timely manner and reacting appropriately to program scheduling conflicts, troubleshooting equipment issues, and any other potential obstacles.

Adhere to certification/resource management protocols as dictated by the HWI Center of Excellence Model. Conduct ongoing research and maintain current knowledge of all lab screening equipment/supplies; health promotion/education; and state, federal, and OSHA guidelines, licensing, and best practices.

Maintain consistently positive communication with all internal and external clients to build relationships, optimize customer satisfaction, and to enhance future programming opportunities.

Participate and adhere to all quality assurance requirements including, but not limited to the Lab Screening Program: QC documentation, instrumentation operation/maintenance and troubleshooting, proficiency testing, equipment/supply inventory, RMW, detailed confidentiality and QA policies and procedures.

Complete all written/electronic monitoring requirements as directed. Screening program summary documentation includes, but is not limited to, participant totals, work flow operation, equipment/supply issues, worksite contact issues, concerns/feedback, etc.

Identify requirements for new programs, provide ongoing feedback, and work collaboratively with the Product Development and Health Education teams to continually enhance program offerings.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

Knowledge of: Delivery of screening services to onsite client locations; scheduling and staffing protocols; biometric screening parameters, protocols, and local and national regulations.

Technical Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; complete understanding of the Cholestech biometrics screening equipment and mastery of its utilization; ability to diagnose and troubleshoot potential equipment problems.

Ability to: Adhere to all confidentiality guidelines and protocols; excel in all customer service situations; build client relationships in order to enhance participant screening experience and build trust for potential future programming.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Health Management Associate

REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES:

Serve as the single point of contact to assigned clients on behalf of BCBSRI and assist clients in establishing and targeting their health management goals and utilizing BCBSRI resources.

Perform needs assessments and ongoing analysis of accounts to identify requirements for client's health management strategy and access to internal and external resources. As appropriate, provide contact information for Employee Assistance Programs and disease and case management programs. Utilize a variety of tools such as Personal Health Assessments (PHA), claims history, claims and pharmaceutical trends, population demographics, corporate health audits, and health interest surveys to determine intervention needs within the given client organization.

Ensure that all services are delivered within established resources and time parameters. Implement activities by conducting lectures, seminars, and serving as a point of contact for health management questions. Using intelligence gathered from worksites, collaborate with communications staff to ensure that promotional materials are appropriate for the target audience.

Work with a multi-disciplinary Health Management Team to create and present business cases for new and renewing programs. Provide impromptu service as needed by HWI management; meet with BCBSRI staff as appropriate to keep abreast of the latest developments to Health Management Solutions and expectations; work with other operational area managers to ensure all organizational objectives are met in a timely, efficient, cost-effective manner.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing all support services essential for the smooth daily functioning of the Health & Wellness Institute's (HWI) Iowa Campus. Provides project and administrative support to the Director of the Iowa Campus and the HWI Iowa management team. Utilizes PC software skills to develop correspondence, develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases, prepare business analyses and graphical presentations, and maintain electronic files and records. Provides support to the Director of Iowa Campus with budget management invoicing/payroll/accounts receivable, and management of time and attendance.

REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES

Assist HWI Iowa management team in successfully designing, implementing, and monitoring all components offered by HWI. Monitor all programs and provide status reports on key HWI performance metrics.

Design and implement all core office operational functions such as performance management systems, time recording systems, accounts receivable and accounts payable, invoicing, etc. Oversee all operational aspects of the office, including facilities space, meeting logistics, employee needs, etc. Act as primary liaison on behalf of the HWI Iowa campus to HWI Rhode Island campus support services, such as HR, Finance, IT, Legal, etc.

Support and coordinate planning and implementation of all administrative project activities; take and maintain meeting minutes, identify project tasks, deliverables, dependencies and resource requirements. Track, assess, and communicate project goals, timelines, action items, variances, issues, and budgets, developing appropriate contingency plans as necessary.

Provide ad hoc service as directed by management; work collaboratively with other HWI staff, project managers, administrative assistants, and program support staff to ensure objectives are met in a timely, efficient, cost-effective manner.

Develop, communicate, and lead the implementation of strategies and objectives designed to achieve corporate goals in support of the health plan's account in Iowa. Maintain budgetary/financial, staffing, facilities, communications, and tactical plans related to HWI's Iowa campus operations. Responsible for the development and continuous refinement of the HWI strategic plan in Iowa.

Responsible for overseeing the recruitment and on-boarding of all Iowa staff.

Ensure that Iowa staff, supported by HWI's Rhode Island headquarters, are sufficiently equipped to create and maintain the specialized content and systems infrastructure necessary to deliver existing and future HWI services on behalf of Wellmark, as well as future solution sets.

Work with Farm Bureau agents to deliver health education and health coaching to Farm Bureau members throughout the state of Iowa. REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES

Deliver effective health coaching services to clients according to the Health & Wellness Institute's (HWI) methodology. The following formats may be used; telephonic coaching, Web-based coaching tools, health screenings, lectures, seminars, and one-on-one consultations.

Speak on a variety of topics such as: nutrition, weight management, stress management, fitness, medical self care, and smoking cessation to a wide range of ages and personality types.

Maintain consistently positive communication with clientele to build relationships, optimize customer satisfaction, and to enhance programming.

Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in the HWI health coaching technology platform while overseeing the implementation and continuous improvement of the health coaching program to support claims reduction, improve quality of life, and reduce risk for individuals, worksites, and communities. Collaborate with other HWI staff, programs, services, resources, and third parties (i.e. client's EAP, insurance carriers, physicians) to best support client's overall health and wellness needs.

Ensure that recommended health coaching participation levels, adherence, and desired outcomes/behavior changes are achieved through best-in-class program promotion, implementation, and evaluation. Participation targets will be set by health coaching team and Senior Health Coach. Program participation will be reported to the Senior Health Coach and the appropriate health plan's stakeholders after a program is delivered.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

Knowledge of: Nutrition, weight management, stress management, fitness, and smoking cessation; wellness coaching promotion/education theory and its application; wellness coaching models.
